Ashton, Idaho · Grand Teton National Park Bridals
By Kyle · Ky Productions
Type: Destination Wedding
Location: Ashton, Idaho

Some wedding days feel like a production. Perfectly scheduled, perfectly posed, everything running exactly on time. And then there are days like Eliza and Jace’s — where the joy is so genuine and the energy so alive that you spend the whole day just trying to keep up with it. In the best possible way.
This was a day full of color, laughter, and the kind of happiness that fills a room without anyone trying to put it there. From the moment I arrived I could feel it — these two were just pure light. And everyone around them felt it too.
Before the wedding celebration in Ashton we headed into Grand Teton National Park for Eliza’s bridal session and their first look. If you’ve never experienced the Tetons as a backdrop for a wedding film — there’s nothing quite like it. The scale, the light, the way the mountains make everything feel both enormous and deeply intimate at the same time.
Their first look happened there — that private moment before the whole world joins in. Just the two of them, the mountains, and a camera trying to stay out of the way. As a destination wedding videographer these are the moments I live for. The ones that don’t need any direction because the emotion is already there, already real, already happening.

After the bridal session we were making our way back down the mountain as the sun was setting over the Tetons. That last stretch of golden light was fading fast. And then — completely out of nowhere — there was a trampoline on the side of the road.
Nobody planned it. Nobody suggested it. Eliza and Jace just looked at each other and went for it.
“The best moments I’ve ever filmed were never on a shot list.”
There they were — jumping on a random trampoline on the side of a mountain road as the Teton sunset faded behind them, laughing like kids, completely free. That spontaneous, unscripted, ridiculous and beautiful moment is exactly what I mean when I say I don’t film weddings the same way twice. You can’t plan something like that. You can only be ready for it.
That’s the moment that ended up in the film. And it’s the one everyone talks about.
The celebration itself was everything the couple was — colorful, joyful, and completely full of life. The venue in Ashton was the perfect setting for a day that felt more like a party with the people you love most than a formal event. Guests were happy, the energy never dropped, and Eliza and Jace were present for every single moment of it.
As a cinematic wedding videographer one of the things I look for on a wedding day is whether the couple actually gets to experience their own wedding. So often the day moves so fast that couples barely remember it afterward. That’s part of why the film matters so much — it gives the day back to them. Every laugh, every speech, every dance, every moment they didn’t even know was happening.
Eliza and Jace’s family said it felt like watching a movie. That’s the goal every single time.
“Kyle was amazing to work with!! He didn’t make our wedding video feel like a forced production, but instead documented the genuine special moments that happened during our day. The video turned out perfect and many of our family members said it feels like a movie. Kyle is very fun to have around and made us feel comfortable even though we felt shy to be filmed. We couldn’t recommend him enough!!”

“He didn’t make our wedding video feel like a forced production.” That line means everything to me. Because that’s exactly what I’m trying not to be — a vendor with a camera running a production. I want to be the person in the room that nobody feels watched by, but who somehow caught everything.
